Most managers yearn for working with team members
who remain positive, enthusiastic, helpful, willing learners, and
innovative to try new ideas. Yet they find themselves dealing with
workers who sound negative, appear bored and disinterested, preferring
to stick to old ways of working, and often getting into conflicts or
playing office politics.
These managers usually respond by either trying
to coerce difficult employees to change their behavior or by some
attempts at counseling.
This program offers practice on coaching
employees rather than managing them. It focuses on
understanding the principles of coaching, measuring change readiness,
creating strategic direction, identifying key stages of changes and
gaining authentic commitment from employees.
Participants will learn to:
- Understand causes of ‘negativity’ in employees
- Confront and coach employees using the
Authentic Trust Model
- Develop practical action plans to apply their
knowledge about difficult employees
- Build their own ‘positivity muscles’
- Build awareness about coaching styles and
helpful coaching skills
